At one of TP-Link's primary distribution centers, the inbound and outbound verification of finished goods was still dependent on manual barcode scanning and handheld confirmation. Each day, large pallet stacks of boxed products needed to pass through multiple dock gates for shipping to regional hubs and partners. During peak export periods, manual scanning could not keep pace, occasionally resulting in shipment discrepancies, missed scans, and delayed system updates to the ERP and WMS platforms.

The company's warehouse handle full pallets of branded cartons, often destined for overseas partners and retailers. Efficient verification of pallet movements at dock doors is critical to ensuring timely delivers and accurate order execution. Seeking higher throughput and real-time traceability, TP-Link turned to MingQ Technology to modernize its facility with an RFID-enabled dock-door solution.
Missed or inaccurate scans occasionally caused mismatches betweem the physical stock and recorded inventory. At the same time, supervisor lacked live dashboards at the site to monitor shipment progress or quickly address exceptions.
To eliminate these identify every pallet passing through the dock gate, validate shipment tasks, update the WMS and ERP system instantly, and present live visual confirmation for on-site operators.
As a forklift transports a pallet through the gate, the system reads its tags in a single motion and automatically synchronizes this transaction with TP-Link's warehouse system, marking the item as inbound recieved or outbound shipped. Real-time data is simultaneously displayed on a large overhead screen at the dock, showing each shipment task number, pallet ID, and quantity in progress. This visual feedback allows operators and supervisors to verify each transaction instantly without interrupting workflow.
The system integrates seamlessly with TP-Link's ERP and WMS platforms, ensuring that stock movements and shipment statuses are updated continuously. Thanks to the RFly-R6's split-type design, the reader module is installed securely inside a control cabinet while the antenna remain exposed on the gate structure for optimal read performance. This layout minimizes interference from metal surroundings and ensures stable, high-accuracy reading across all pallet configurations.
Through this configuration, the once-manual dock-door stage becomes a fully automated checkpoint - linking every physical movement to digital records while delivering instantaneous visibility throughout the logistics chain.
Data synchronization with the WMS and ERP ensures that inventory counts remain accurate at every stage, while the automated record trail supports downstream auditing and performance analytics.
